This collection consists of volumes of essays dealing with a wide range of local folk tradition and history, written by schoolchildren in Beagh1937-38, and drawing on information recorded from parents, relatives and neighbours living in the district. Of the two National Schools in Beagh Civil Parish (St. Anne's Lough Cutra National School, and Lurga National School) it appears only Lurga National School took part in the programme.
